MIBO Integrated Network of Trust
Transparent and Trusted Data Exchange for Passenger Buses in Germany
Allowing multi-stakeholder data management and onboarding of new ecosystem partners to deliver on sustainability and reliability in mobility.

Project
Multi-stakeholder projects face a fundamental problem: trust. When multiple entities, such as private mobility operators and municipalities, engage in data-driven decision-making, verifying the integrity of telemetry data becomes critical.
With Staex's trusted IoT connectivity and network management; MIBO's 150-busses fleet; Solana’s blockchain infrastructure; DIMO’s platform for vehicle data collection, use and monetization, and support from Open Telekom Cloud, a tamper-proof data environment is established that offers transparency and trust between all stakeholders.
- Data is directly signed by the vehicle – Ensuring authenticity from the source.
- Metadata such as passenger count and CO2 values are stored in a decentralized, immutable ledger (on-chain) – Preventing manipulation or loss of data.
- Automated certification – Reducing manual work and eliminating reliance on vulnerable centralized systems.
This approach guarantees:
- Data integrity – Immutable and verifiable records.
- Security – Protection against cyber threats and unauthorized modifications.
- Transparency – Inherent trust among all stakeholders, including municipalities, fleet operators, and regulators.
