Staex and Germandrones to collaborate on Web3 Drone Corridor project
2024-04-23
Berlin, 15.04.2024 — Staex GmbH and Germandrones GmbH entered into a strategic partnership aimed at advancing the capabilities and applications of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) within the burgeoning drone technology industry. This collaboration will leverage the expertise of both organizations to showcase the seamless integration of drone operations and online machine-to-machine payments within the framework of NEXA — Web3 drone corridor project.

Germandrones, a leading developer and producer of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), will provide essential drone technology for this project. The project will feature a series of test flights and public demonstrations at a private property in Berlin, Germany, in May 2024. This initiative underscores the potential for drones in data capture and reporting over a blockchain, with online machine-to-machine payments facilitated by paymenttools, a subsidiary of the REWE Group. Another key partner in the project is Vantage Towers AG, owner of 84,000+ telco towers across Europe.
Germandrones is open to partnerships and innovations that address real-world challenges. This collaboration with Staex exemplifies our dedication to pushing the boundaries of drone technology for practical applications.

Staex's IoT network automation software will play a critical role in ensuring seamless connectivity and reliability between our technologies and those of our partners. We are excited to collaborate with Germandrones to showcase the potential of integrated drone operations in a shared economy.

Both Berlin-based partners are looking forward to the fruitful outcomes of this partnership and are excited to showcase the potential of drone technology within the machine-to-machine economy.
Germandrones develops and produces unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for various industries, focusing on innovation and reliability in drone technology. Germandrones offers UAS including software based on German engineering standards for a multitude of applications, like surveying and mapping, search and rescue, inspection, security and surveillance. For each of those cases, unique sensors and processing technologies are used to solve problems or to enhance data-capturing and operational capacities.
The Songbird of Germandrones is a fully automatic Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) system that can fly Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) for up to two hours and approximately 100 kilometers. Hard- and software are – Made in Germany – technology with experience of worldwide client’s base. The German Armed Forces as an example uses the Songbird 150 High Precision Mapping for air accident surveying. Germandrones planning and control software for UAS is specially designed for professional missions in inspection, mapping, inspection and support of police, military, rescue and security organizations.
Staex is a secure public network for IoT devices that can not run a VPN such as smart meters, IP cameras, and EV chargers. Staex encrypts legacy protocols, reduces mobile data usage, and simplifies building networks with complex topologies through its unique multi-hop architecture. Staex is fully zero-trust meaning that no traffic is allowed unless specified by the device owner which makes it more secure than even some private networks. With this, Staex creates an additional separation layer to provide more security for IoT devices on the Internet, also protecting other Internet services from DDoS attacks that are usually executed on millions of IoT machines.
