Head of Product - Web3

Location: Staex is based in Berlin, Germany. We will consider candidates with European or East Coast locations.

Our mission is to redefine connectivity and security for IoT, robotics, smart cities, and mobility industries by leveraging blockchain technology and decentralized networking. Staex is seeking an experienced Product Leader to spearhead the development and execution of our Web3 solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Web3 technologies and the ability to drive product strategy in a fast-paced startup environment. This role requires a blend of solutions-oriented mentality, technical acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to help shape Staex’s product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and launch of innovative Web3 products for industry
  • Define product strategy and roadmap aligned with company goals
  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and customer experiences
  • Analyze market landscape and trends including actual user needs to inform product decisions
  • Present product vision and updates to stakeholders and at industry events
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on technical implementation
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and partners in both Web 2 industries and Web3 spaces to understand market feedback and insights

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of developing, launching, deploying successful Web3 products
  • Strong technical and industrial background
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Proven experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions (preferably using Rust)
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities in English
  • Deep understanding of blockchain technology and decentralized systems
  • 5+ years of product management experience in the Web3 or related tech space
  • Fluent in English and preferably possess German or Spanish language skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Ability to balance technical knowledge with strong user-centric design thinking
  • Experience leading and mentoring product teams

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Web3 development
  • Knowledge of smart contracts, tokenization, and other Web3 applications
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Network within the Web3 community
  • A deep passion for emerging technologies and a desire to drive meaningful change in the industry

This position reports to the Chief Strategy Officer with a dotted line to the Head of Growth.
